Hi! I’m a 25-year-old Chicagoan who loves making a mess in the kitchen. I have been vegan since February 2015. Since then, I have discovered my love for cooking and baking.This blog was built in the summer of 2017. I strive to provide creative, simple, and easy nutritious recipes for the everyday cook.

Graphic design and Art History. I am currently in my first of graduate school studying Museum and Exhibition Studies.

How long have you been vegan?

Since February 2015

How did you go vegan?

I did a one week challenge then stuck with it. However, I was only eating poultry and no dairy to begin with which made the overnight transition easier. There is no one trick, only commitment as it depends on the person.

What kind of veganism do you follow? 

I don’t specifically follow any type of veganism but I tend to eat higher carb than fat.

You post a lot of recipes with protein powder? What kind do you use and do you use it after exercise?

Protein powder is not necessary in a vegan diet because if you are eating enough you will reach your protein goal. I do love Orgain chocolate fudge and yes I tend to use it after exercise. I weight lift 3-5 days a week and typically have to rush to class afterwards so a bulked shake is my go to.
